2. Personal data we collect
When you use the contact form or contact us directly, we may process:
- your name or contact name;
- email address;
- telephone number, when provided;
- the subject of your enquiry;
- the message and any other information you choose to include.
3. How the data is sent
The contact form uses a mailto: link. WordPress does not store form submissions in its database. The information is transferred through the email application and provider selected by the visitor and is sent to makenergyhellas@gmail.com. The visitor’s email provider and the provider of the company mailbox may process technical data and message content under their own terms and privacy policies.
4. Purposes of processing
- responding to enquiries and contact requests;
- providing information about services, projects or properties;
- preparing a quotation or taking steps before a possible contract;
- managing an existing professional or contractual relationship;
- security, technical troubleshooting and protection of the company’s legitimate interests;
- compliance with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.
5. Legal bases
Depending on the context, processing is based on: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract; compliance with a legal obligation; our legitimate interests in communication, security and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims; or your consent where consent is required. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
6. Retention periods
Enquiries that do not lead to a contractual relationship are retained for up to 24 months from the last communication. After that period, the data is deleted or anonymised unless longer retention is necessary to protect legitimate interests or comply with a legal obligation. Data connected with contractual, accounting or legal relationships is retained in accordance with the applicable statutory retention periods.
7. Recipients and external providers
Access is limited to authorised persons within MAK ENERGY HELLAS LTD and, where necessary, professional advisers or technical providers supporting hosting, security and email services. We do not sell personal data. Information is disclosed to public authorities only where required by law.
8. Google Maps
Google Maps is not loaded automatically. A local placeholder is displayed initially, and the map loads only after the visitor explicitly selects the localised “Load map” button. After activation, Google may receive the visitor’s IP address, browser and device information, and other standard network data in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.
The separate external Google Maps link also opens only following an action by the visitor.
9. Google Fonts
Cinzel, Montserrat and Noto Sans are hosted locally on the website. During normal page loading, no requests are sent to fonts.googleapis.com or fonts.gstatic.com, and no data is transferred to Google through the loading of these fonts.
10. Polylang language cookie
The website uses the functional pll_language cookie to remember the language selected by the visitor. Its duration is approximately one year. It is not used for advertising tracking or profiling.
11. Server and security logs
The hosting provider and security systems may temporarily record technical information such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser type, response codes and error or security events. These logs are used for operation, diagnostics, abuse prevention and security and are kept only for as long as necessary under the relevant technical configuration and legal obligations.
12. International transfers
Some external providers, particularly Google services and email or infrastructure providers, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, transfers must rely on an adequacy decision, approved Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful GDPR transfer mechanism.
13. Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request information and access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent. We do not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects for website visitors.

To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, contact makenergyhellas@gmail.com. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity. We will respond within the time limits required by the GDPR.
15. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, in particular the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve the issue.
